Hi! We are the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen!

What is a GSA?

The GSA is a community created by students where everyone can feel safe to be who they are and to love who they want. As a GSA, we focus on two main goals: creating a community and increasing visibility. We create a community by organising activities every month so our members can get to know each other better and become a close group. In order to increase visibility at the faculty, we participate in promotional events such as Open Days, organise open activities on special events such as Purple Friday, and use our social media to educate our followers.

Why should you join the GSA?

First of all, it’s a lot of fun! We organise many fun activities, such as game nights, high teas, movie nights, pub quizzes and more. Joining the GSA is a great way to meet new people within the faculty. On a more serious note, the GSA is a place where you can find community, and talk about shared experiences with fellow students from the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we want to make our faculty a more inclusive space. If you don’t identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, but just want to learn more about it and meet new people, you are welcome to join as well!
